This is a quality wooden spoon, lightweight but sturdy. It's pretty too.

Five stars! This wooden spoon is so good, I'm considering proposing to it. Okay, maybe that's a little dramatic, but seriously, this thing is a chef d'oeuvre of kitchen utensilery. Twelve and a half inches of pure, unadulterated spoon-tastic glory!I've used lesser spoons. Spoons that have betrayed me. Spoons that have snapped under the pressure of a particularly stubborn batch of risotto. Spoons that have looked at me with their flimsy, mass-produced eyes and whispered, "I can't handle this." This spoon? This spoon laughs in the face of risotto rebellion. It's the Chuck Norris of kitchen implements. (And yes, I have used it to stir cement. Just kidding...mostly.)The grain? Magnificent. I've spent hours just staring at it, contemplating the ancient, noble trees from whence it came. I'm pretty sure I saw a tiny woodland creature carved into the handle. Or maybe that's just the grain playing tricks on my eyes...and my sleep-deprived state after a night of stirring a particularly delicious (and challenging) chili. The sturdiness? Forget about it. I've used this spoon to pry open stubborn jars, defend myself against rogue tomatoes, and even, once, to gently nudge a cat off the counter (the cat was unfazed, the spoon was victorious). In short: Buy this spoon. You won't regret it. Unless you're allergic to wood. Then maybe don't. But seriously, buy this spoon. It's the spoon of your dreams. And if your dreams are somehow spoon-deficient, then you clearly need to re-evaluate your life choices.

I leaned to cook/bake as I grew up, standing on a chair next to my mother. I think I always had a wooden spoon in my hand. I was so sad when my first wooden spoon broke after several years of marriage. My husband tried many times to find the “right†spoon but I am too much of a Goldilocks…there was always something no quite “rightâ€â€¦..including the fact that new ones broke pretty easily. I’ve acquired a few that were so “not right†from the very beginning that they immediately went into a donation box.THIS spoon has a great deal of potential - I’m really excited (yes, over a $6 spoon). It’s quite sturdy, with almost no flex. It appears to be a single piece of wood, not pieced together. It’s sanded very smoothly. The spoon is well balanced and the bowl is just the right size for stirring. It’s a bit shallow, but that’s what I want - I want to stir and mix - I don’t need a ladle or a serving spoon. My ONLY apprehension is that the wood looks to have some type of finish/stain/oil on it. It should be oiled, but there’s no disclosure for how they treated it in the manufacturing process. There’s zero smell and nothing seems to scrub off, so I’m assuming all is well.I’m really happy with this spoon. Maybe your mother needs one this Mother’s Day.

MZROO acacia wooden spoon is smooth and seems durable. This is great to use on any type of cookware, especially nonstick, because it is non scratch and heat resistant. I like the long handle, since it did not become too hot to hold and is comfortable when using. The spoon washes up well, with hot, sudsy water and then hand and air dried. I would not put this in the dishwasher, because I think it would just be too harsh for it. Overall, I am glad I purchased this and believe it was a great value for the quality and cost of this wooden spoon.

Really impressed with the quality of this wooden spoon. The acacia wood is nice and smooth and a beautiful deep color. Cleans up really easily too with dish soap and warm water however, I would not recommend letting this soak in water and definitely don't put in the dishwasher (as with any other wooden utensil). Can use for cooking but would also be great in the 2-set for salad.

Exactly what I hoped for from a wooden spoon. It is sturdy, but light, and effective as a spoon. It does have some wear and tear on the top after my first use in the pan when browning meat, but I think all of my current wood utensils have the same, so I think that is normal. Good Value, and I like the color.

It didn't take long for me to scorch the end of this spoon, but I'm just going to call that a "patina" and continue to enjoy cooking with it. The size of it is great for most stovetop prep and the way it is curved gives enough "flatness" on the end of the spoon to allow for effective pan-scraping. The handle is very smooth, no splinters. This does feel like it truly will require hand-washing, not the dishwasher, to maintain the smooth finish over time.
