Purchased for an 18 month old. He loves turning it on and watching the engine eun on a track, the floor or on short pile carpet. He has not mastered the remote control box yet but he uses that to make the train sounds and to have the lights on. I am sure he will quickly learn the remote. I would say perfect for age 2 and up but definitely enjoyed by our recipient at a younger age.

Bought a wooden train for Christmas for my 2 year old granddaughter. It works great on the wooden train track. Granddaughter loves it.

It's a fast and fun train. Knocking one star off because the first one stopped working within a few weeks. I exchanged it and the second one has been running for a year and still is speedy and fun to play with.

This train makes decent sound but does not get up incline wooden tracks. It also has a poor turning radius and doesn't always stay on the tracks we make.
