How The Process Works - Seasoning
We recommend purchasing "freshly cut" wood in late Spring. That way your firewood has all Summer to let the sun and breeze wick away any sap or moisture. By the time you're ready to use the wood, it has become light weight and easy to light! This process is called seasoning.
Purchasing "cured" or "heat-treated" wood from your local firewood provider is strongly recommended. Cured wood speeds up the seasoning process for easy lighting & usage. Our covers work great for both fresh-cut and cured woods.

I had planned to buy square steel tubing and fabricate/weld my own firewood rack. But there was a rack, exactly the size I wanted, for a very reasonable price on Amazon. Thought about it a lot and finally decided to order. To say that I'm impressed is saying it mildly.The workmanship is exemplary. The rack is made of heavy gauge square/rectangular steel tubing than expected. The paint (I think baked-on) is great. The caps on the ends of the uprights will keep moisture and resulting rust away. The bolt holes are perfectly sized so that the high quality bolts fit very snugly without any slop. The assembly took about 20 minutes with a ratchet wrench on the nuts and one of the included wrenches on the bolt. The nylock bolts will never work themselves free. The rack could not have been more sturdy unless all joints were welded.And, I appreciate the personal printed note from the family regarding values and Made in America.I highly recommend this firewood rack. I'm stacking logs right now for this winter up here in the mountains.

This is an excellent wood stand. It is both solid and well supported. I filled it to the brim and it took the weight with quiet aplomb. I had an issue/question about the support feet that I ordered. The seller was quick to respond and resolve the issue. I did not realize that the feet were in the product box itself so the error was mine. Nonetheless, the seller/manufacturer was very responsive and great to work with. I really like the cover because it just covers the top portion of the wood load—probably about 1/4 of the total load. This is perfect to protect the wood from weather and mostly snow while also not allowing for mice, snakes, etc. to take up residence. I would definitely but this product again. And I love that it is American made.

Stand was crafted nicely and felt sturdy. All the parts were there. The cover is really only a limited cover that essentially just covers the top four corners and hangs down less than a foot. By design they said. Alas driving rain/snow will pile on the wood and wet/damp wood is whatyou’re trying to get rid of. If your rack is full of wood 4’ high, that’s a lot of open wood.If you buy this as it is today, you’ll end up purchasing a tarp. Holds 1/4 cord of wood.

This item, although a bit more expensive than a similar appearing rack on the website, is heavy duty. It is several pounds heavier than the other rack and I believe that is due to the steel used. Both are USA made but I know that this rack is sturdy and will last. The cover is very sturdy and fits nicely. The rack is easy to assemble and the instructions are easy to follow which I believe is due to the fact that this is a USA company.

It is nice and sturdy. The cover protects the wood from the top, but it can still air out.

Well built and fairly easy to assemble. I recommend having a ratchet set, it speeds things up compared to the tool sent with the product.
