This cutter-head is very sharp and gives you a very clean, smooth, burn marks free product. Grizzly offers this cutter cheaper than any other sellers. The biggest advantage of the item is that you can change the cutting blades to match your favourite profiles. It's heavy which means less vibrations during operations. I also recommend to use a power feeder with such heavy duty cutters. A power feeder of 1/4 HP. will suffice. I's only valid if your shape is 3HP or less.The item was received on time and well packed.

I agree with Casper, it is aluminum . The one I received had been dropped and damaged prior to being placed in the plastic bag. I needed the tool so I bit the bullet. Seems like I am eating a lot of lead lately.

First, the head is manufactured in the USA, and is very well machined. It looks great for small knives on a small shaper.However, the usable length is 1 3/4 inch, and not two inch. Also, the pocket length is too short for my needs. My knives have too much projection to be run securely in this head. I have decided to return the product and I will buy something more heavy duty.
