The 3-Inch moulding head accepts all of our 2-Inch and 3-Inch HSS cutters and works on shapers of 3 Horsepower and above. The 3-Inch moulding head requires a 1-Inch spindle at least 4-Inch tall.

I gave this a 3 because while the moulder head is fine, it's a freaking 1" bore, but only made to hold 1/4" steel. I have 3" knives that are 5/16" M2 steel and they won't fit. I took the shims that hold the blades over to the belt sander and sanded away 1/16". A poor solution, I guess, but 5/16" steel is pretty standard. So now I have a working head.

Does not fit 5/16" thick cutters! Only made from aluminum. Had to return it

This is only the 3 inch head, the picture and the wording (calling it a system)leads you to believe that you are recieving more than just the head it self. this is poor advertising fringing on fraud. the head is of good quality, all the knives now are made from powdered metal.
