The box contained the seat cushion, foot rail, four stool legs, a hydraulic cam/lift, a smaller box that contained (4) - two holed brackets used for attaching the legs to a center spool piece that the hydraulic cam will rest, along with (12) bolts and nuts, and (4) color matching thumb screws. The directions were clear, concise, and easy to follow. I put the chair together in under twenty minutes, and that is only because I took extra precaution not to scratch the bright neon greeen paint. The legs appear to be nicely painted, maybe even electrically-coated, as well as the black brackets and spool piece. I guess the most important thing is that the stool is very sturdy. It does not rock in way and the seat cushion has ample, but not too much give when I (200#) sat on it. The lever to raise and lower the seat, feels a little flimsy (made of plastic), but activated the hydraulic cam easily with simple and slight pressure. I am very satisfied with the stool and looks great against my garage drafting table. I thought I might look to add some sturdy after-markety wheels (if possible), but the weight is not too heavy that I can not just pick it up or slide it if need be. The fact that it does have rubber stops on the bottom of the legs, makes me think that I should leave it as is so that I don't create an "accident waiting to happen" by allowing the stool to slide out from under me when stepping on the foot ring in haste when boarding it or when I just want to lean my rear on seat (half-assed).

I have had many.This one is perhaps the best built and best thought out.A few extra bucks 🤷ðŸ½â€â™‚ï¸?Worth it.

This stool is built like a truck - it’s heavy. I got the neon green version for my home recording studio. Easy to assemble, sturdy hardware and good lift hydraulics. It can sit exceptionally high - much higher than other stools, which is the main reason I got this. I wish there was a fabric top option instead of the plastic, because the plastic seat isn’t that comfortable. The cost feels right for what you get.

its sturdy, but not the most comfortable thing in the world.. the seat cushion is very thin.
