**Silica litter caused serious health problems for me and my cats—please research and fact-check me before using it.I am not claiming anything as fact and only commenting on my story**After four years of struggling with silica litter, I switched to corn and walnut litter, and the improvement in our health has been incredible. Silica litter started off great—convenient and seemingly dust-free—but over time, every bag became dustier, despite "99% dust-free" claims. Pouring it or watching my cats dig in it released clouds of dust, triggering my air purifier to show dangerous dust levels. The consequences were scary: I relied on an inhaler for two years, and one of my cats developed asthma. Foster kittens also suffered—one scratched her cornea because dust stuck to her paws and irritated her eyes, requiring painful eye drops and creams.Switching to corn and walnut litter changed everything. Within three weeks, my cat stopped coughing, the kittens’ eyes healed, and I haven’t needed my inhaler since. This litter is truly dust-free, easy to use, and hides odors amazingly well. Scooping is clean and hassle-free, and it’s more affordable, especially with five cats!Hearing my cat struggle to breathe was terrifying, and dealing with my own breathing issues was exhausting. Corn and walnut litter has been a lifesaver for us. If you’re considering silica litter, please do the research! Corn and walnut litter are safer, healthier, and far better for both you and your pets. I can’t recommend it enough!

I've been buying World's Best for years, and everytime they come up with new product, I try it. This time around, it was a mistake. With everything else being the usual routine, food, water, space, bed and toys, that is, nothing new in the cat's food and supplies, but this new litter, my cat started vomiting violently the entire day, followed by diarrhea. It turns out that lemongrass scent is toxic to cats. The plant itself, when nibbled in small amount by cats isn't. Seeing that this new product variety is finer than the other varieties and also made a bt. more dust, of course, when the cat grooms himself, he'd ingest the grains in his paws and dust on his coat. And that scent is pretty strong! So, with him going to the litterbox 5 - 7 times a day, in one week, he had licked/ingested more than a reasonable amount. I had to take two days off work to monitor and care for the cat. I don't recomment this variety. However I do recommend their unscented variety, either the green bag or the red bag (for multiple cats).Oh, on another note, there's the citrus undertones. Really? Cats are repugnant to anything citrusy.

I haven't had a cat in years, back then your options were limited. I was going to buy a Litter Robot, until I saw the price tag. Gave this a shot and omg...love.It doesn't smell horrific (im going to try the lavender one next) and best of all: flushable.I have a normal city sewer system so I just toss it in the toilet, wait a little bit, then flush.I'm half inclined to stock up like it's the apocalypse in case they ever stop making it!

I really like this one from World Best Cat Litter; however, it lasts maybe a week, which is a huge bummer. But I will say I like it much better than the others. The scent isn't super strong.

I have been using this for years. I think it is so much better than any other cat litter. It lasts WAY longer. I tried using traditional cat litter recently, for the first time in years, and it re-confirmed that this cat litter is the only one I’ll use! It clumps, scoops well, does pretty good with scent, low dust. Duration is the biggest thing I like about it!

Tried this litter after having so many issues trying to find the perfect litter for us. Pellets didn't cover odor, regular clay litter would track everywhere, including our bedsheets. This seemed promising as they were granules and advertised odor defense which would solve both my problems.Upon opening the bag, it turns out this litter was scented and it was really unpleasant in my personal opinion. I added a litter deodorizer which helped. After a couple days of use, I ran into the same problem other reviews mentioned where the granules completely broke down into a very fine dust. My kitten's fur is really wispy which meant the dust clung to her fur completely. I clean their box everyday but by the 10th day, the litter itself smelled strongly of that gross cat urine smell. The fact our litter box is plastic could also factor into this.If you're someone who likes the lemongrass smell and changes your litter completely very often then this would work for you! However, it wasn't a good fit for my household.
