I will use the hem tape, to sew a new hem in a pair of pants that are too long. Most stores in my local area are not carrying the lace hemming tape (which I like to use).

I have always used this product for hemming. Because the company no longer makes the lace flexi hem in the vast assortment of colors they used to make, I stocked up on the 4 basic colors they still make.

Flexi Lace is a misnomer if you are thinking elastic. It has slightly more give than standard hem tape but not at all elastic.
