I have purchased three pairs of these for my children as they venture into once-a-year snowboarding. They work well and have held up nicely, and because they are aluminum they have a lower profile compared to braces with plastic supports, which allows them to fit comfortably under ski gloves and mittens. Now they can take risks and keep their wrists! My daughter did suffer a broken wrist during her first two-day stint at snowboarding—without any wrist support. I bought these for her the following year and so far no injuries.

Bought these for roller skating. The neoprene material makes my palms sweat but that’s not a big deal. They fit well without moving out of place. I took a forward fall while skating at the park. When I reached out to break my fall the curved guard at the palm area slid on the asphalt quickly causing both my arms to slide out into a 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock position. Although my wrist were protected I bruised my cheek bone and received 5 stitches in my chin when my face hit the pavement. There’s no grip on the palm area to keep them from sliding on impact🥺

I use this as a method to immobilize my wrist after it is strained. I used to do this twenty years ago with a different skating brace. When my wrist hurt, it was time to use said brace.It does the job well. There’s some degree of wiggle room so don’t think you’re getting a cast. It’s really solid, though, and makes sure the wrist isn’t going to move a lot.So while I’d feel safe to assume that in the event of a fall, it would protect well, I hope I never have to test that. However it is a usable brace.

I fell off my e bike at 20mph this year before I bought these and fractured my wrist in four places and my elbow(not from direct impact but the wrist impact pushed my forearm into the other part and crushed it).Doctor said if I had these I would have been fine. Recently had a big fall and fractured both my wrists, so was very weary about falling again as I'm not completely healed.Had a huge fall going at 20mph, came down hard but did not even notice the impact on my wrists till I got home and noticed the deep scrape marks on the metal braces.The braces protected my already damaged wrists without me even noticing, transferring the impact away from my wrists.Definitely value for money, as there are way more expensive alternatives on the market.I feel very safe and secure wearing them.Keeps your wrists securely in place but won't give you much room to manoeuvre. (Which is a good thing).
