I bought this to use as a bumper on the ribs of my garage door to protect my car when the rear gate is opened; I added pictures to show this. I cut the roll into two strips and then each strip was cut in half. I then wrapped each piece around the rip - about 2"x1/2"x2" and there isn't enough adhesion to keep it stuck on so I had to add some black guerrilla tape. I cleaned each rib prior to installation and made sure it completely dried. I believe this product will work fine for a flat surface installation. Update after a month. Definitely doesn't work on a corner type of installation. The material is separating from the sticky surface while the sticky surface with the reinforcing fibers remains stuck to my garage door; this will be a pain to clean. So one star for my installation needs, it doesn't hold up over time and the adhesive separates from the material and stays stuck to my garage door. The adhesive is a pain to clean up!

Am using the ampullat or some similar brand bought on amazon 5yr ago, still works. Bought this as cheap, so far, sticks ok, but is a little narrower than the other brand. Same colour, thickness n surface texture s other brand
