One time use. There is a disc and cable on the oem style 2012 honda civic ex. Take note to attach the disc in the middle with the cable in the groove cutout facing down then snap the halves into place. Install the rectangular thi g to the fuel door.It was cheap so I bought two for my 2006 civic ex when I install it on that one too soon.

Broke in seconds. All I did was bend it in the middle twice. Obviously that would happen a lot had I installed it. Not even worth one star, utterly useless. Total waste of time and money and effort

After searching Amazon and finding what I needed for the gas tank door, I finally came upon this product. It works good, but you have to know how it is put together. A schematic or some type of an instruction would have been nice to tell the end-user how to install this item. overall a great item, but it seems a bit delicate so you have to be careful on how you bend and twist it, making sure that when you put it into the gas tank door, you’re not pressing it too hard, otherwise it would probably break.

perfect replacement on my 09 MDX for the fuel cap leash. they should really include these with a new fuel cap anyway

I closed down the clip and it broke as it is very stiff.But I was able to properly install my gas cap.I would not more than 2$ for this.
