I cut one of my original cables and replaced them only to have the replacements crack the protective coating and rot from within. These are a little stiffer but I'm hoping the the outer coating is more durable. Hopefully they'll outlast my last replacement cables. They are stiffer but they fit good

Assembly was effortless , no modifications needed. Only noticeable difference is when gate is closed, cables are bowed outward making cables visible. When gate is open, slight downward dip. So they are a tad long. Will they last? I don’t know. Would I buy again? Yeah, if they last a couple years or more I would.

Cables are too long for my 06 chevy silverado 1500 ! When it's open the tailgate touches the bumper ! 😕

They were a tad bit longer than my originals and the cables sticks out when I close my tailgate. I have to guide the wire back so it won’t dangle out. Good wire and quality tho, so that’s something.
