Excellent value that helped reinforce my tailgate (2001 Mazda B3000) after my left side wire had snapped. Would recommend to anyone looking for a replacement!

The product worked as intended and it was easy enough to install. The only downside was that the cable diameter was smaller than the original. I'm not sure if it will hold up the exact same as the OEM.

This product is exactly the same as the stock cables that came on my truck. What I would have to point out is that those stock ones, just like these, are rubber coated and you will have no idea if they are compromised until it is too late! Fortunately for me I gently lowered my tailgate one day and both cables just snapped and the tailgate kept going. One week prior I was crawling in and out of my truck with wet birch firewood so I am super happy that the cables hadn't broken then or I would almost certainly have injured myself and of course damaged my tailgate. For how cheap these are, how easy they are to replace, and how thoroughly the originals had corroded under the rubber, I strongly recommend getting these if you use your tailgate. -Shipping was fast and they fit my 2003 ford ranger perfectly.

I purchased a used 2002 Ranger Edge, and it was missing one of these straps. Easy install, and works well. Not much else to say.

Product was shorter and smaller diameter than OEM it claimed to replace. Just barely adequate. No installation guidelines or instructions included. Kept it, but mostly to save the hassle of taking it back off. Is working, but because it is short, is taking the whole load of the tail gate. We shall see about in service life over time. Somewhat disappointing.
