Easy to use, the colors were pretty and bright, nice and thin, value was good, helped me relax during a stressful time

I painted this for my brother for a Christmas gift and he and my family loved it! The colors and detail were amazing took about 2 months but it was worth it.

I completed this painting today. I did enjoy it. It took me about 10 days and that's painting several hours a day because there's just so much detail! However, I am a little disappointed. The paints aren't near as vibrant as the photo and therefore, the painting isn't as striking. The yellows and the greens are quite lovely, but none of the blues shine as much and so the moon glow on the creek doesn't have much of an effect. It's too bad as this painting had a lot of potential. The quality of the paints themselves were just fine--very usable and if they dried in the pots a little, I just added a drop or two of water and stirred with a toothpick. I had more than enough to complete the painting. I want to make it clear that if they dried any, it was because I had opened them and was using them for a long period of time. One thing that really pleased me was the clarity of the paint numbers on the canvas. I occasionally had to refer to the photo I took at the start of the project, but this was, by far and so far, the best I’ve seen. The included paintbrushes are terrible. I just threw them away and used the better ones I already have for such projects.

The recipient loves this and is excited to get started. I'm excited to see the outcome. It's fun for every age. The canvas is nice. I'm going to order some kits for my co workers and myself.

Good quality, plenty of paint, and the colors/painting were exactly as depicted!

It was a pretty tapestry to gang on the front door.

Before I start, I should admit that what I experienced may very well be an outlier and not the norm. While I still love the potential in the picture, what I got was a multi-week shipping delay and then when the product finally arrived, the canvas was folded in halves instead of being rolled. Since then I've used an iron to get out most of the fold lines (but not all). But even then, trying to tape it flat against my foam board shows how warped the picture still is and I can't get it completely flat on top of it all. At this point I'm having to consider buying the equipment to stretch it or just give up and toss it in the trash. I know it wasn't expensive but this has been the first time I've experienced canvas in such bad shape. I'm afraid I'd spend weeks painting it and then it still has issues after final framing.Edit: I did try to start painting it and then came up against the issue of how dark the numbers are on the canvas. Even with multiple coats of a white paint pen to lighten the numbers, they are still showing through on the lighter colors, also after multiple coats. Based on other reviews, it appears all of the xackcme paintings may have this issue which is disappointing. I won't be buying anymore of them and this one is going in the trash.

I bought this paint by number set with the swing and rolling hills. First of all, the description states paint by numbers for beginners, and the canvas comes rolled. In my opinion, this is not a beginner paint by numbers. Its very intricate, some small numbers to see. It came folded. I laid the canvas out under something heavy for a few days, ironed it and still see a crease. I hope it turns out ok, after I finish. Maybe if I would have ordered a easier painting I would have given it a better review, although I imagine it still would have shipped folded.
