The Long Moisture Meter tells you, instantly, whether your plants need water. With this meter, you will know that sometimes though the top of the soil looks dry, just beneath the surface it's very wet--no wonder the plants are struggling.
It's very easy to use, just stick it in the dirt and the dial instantly tells you whether the soil is dry, moist or wet.
Long Probe for deep use
5.5 inches longer than ordinary probes, designed for deeper flower pots or deeper use in the garden
Tips
Never use it to test water.
Never touch the stone or hard rock soil.
Do not put it in the soil for a long time.
Step 1
Gently wipe the probe's tip with a paper towel or cloth 5-10 times.
Step 2
Then insert it into the soil.
Step 3
Wait for approximately one second. Note moisture value in the dial.
Step 4
Remove the soil meter from the soil and wipe the probe clean.

If you have picky plants regarding water, this is a must have product. There are times when I think my potted plants should be watered only to find out that they are more wet than I expected. The opposite applies as well. It’s a great quick way to anticipate your plants watering needs.

I started checking the soil before watering and am amazed at what's dry & what has enough water. I would have automatically watered the potted tomato plants & potted blue berry bushes. Nope. They didn't need more water but several in ground needed water. Surprised me. Love it's long stake to get down into the dirt deep enough. Holding up well. Feels sturdy. Easy to see & read without my readers- yay. Wipe the stake off with a dry cloth after every check- per instructions. I will be getting for both my grown kids with gardens. Good price on the 2 pack.

I can't see any way to replace the battery or any info on doing so, other wise seems to work well.

Quick read out on the meter. I use it to check the moisture level in outdoor pine trees we planted a couple months ago. My only dislike is that as soon as you pull the probe from the soil the reading goes back to zero, making it necessary to get down on your knees to read the meter for each tree. It would be nice if the reading stayed on for a few seconds. However, it is well worth it to know the true level of moisture so you water appropriately for each tree.

This is my second set. The first set I had did not function properly. The company reached out to me immediately to resolve the issue and sent me brand new set at no cost. I just tried them and they work as advertised. They are fantastic.

I purchased this set because I recently planted 5 new Italian Cypress trees in front of my house. These trees are very finicky with underwatering and overwatering. They are young trees only around 10 feet right now, so you need to water them daily. But i also read that they do not like too much moisture and overwatering. So i did some research and purchased these sensors in hopes that they will help.They are reasonably priced for a pair, and pretty straight forward on usage. They are long enough for my need and application and they seem to be decently made and functional.The challenge and concern I do not believe they are that accurate. I say this because since receiving them (yesterday)............I've used them and tried to measure soil moisture on multiple plants around the house and trees outside the house. The concern i have is that they are not that consistent. You can put one in one place one minute and get a "moist" or "Wet" reading...............wait a second or two and put them back in and get a different reading. I would say they are consistent around 60-70% of the time, but often provide conflicting and contradictory readings. Because I got this two pack, i decided to use both of them within an inch or two of one another. You would think that the reading would come in identical on both sensors right??................WRONG. Several times i put both wands/sensors into the same plant or tree, inches from one another and received completely different readings. This concerns me and shows me that yes this product works...............BUT Is just somewhat accurate.

Ho acquistato il Misuratore di Umidità del Suolo per Uso Profondo e sono molto soddisfatto! Questo strumento è perfetto per monitorare l'umidità del terreno in modo preciso e facile, anche a profondità maggiori. È semplice da usare: basta inserirlo nel terreno e leggere il livello di umidità direttamente sul display. La scala di misurazione è chiara e permette di capire quando è il momento giusto per irrigare le piante. Ottimo per chi ha un giardino o piante in vaso. Il rapporto qualità -prezzo è molto buono, lo consiglio a chi cerca un misuratore affidabile!

Sachant que j'ai la main aussi verte que celle d'un schtroumpf cet outil est parfait pour savoir si le sol est plus ou moins sec sur la hauteur choisie.Grâce à lui pas de plantes fragiles avec les pieds dans l'eau.Exceptionnel produit que je recommande aux jardiniers amateurs.

They only arrived couple of hours ago, they look great. Have tried one, excellent. The service & delivery was be on excellent. Meant to receive next Tuesday but have arrived today, Saturday.
