These solar powered lights are working surprisingly well since they were installed in the winter. On cloudy days when they don't receive any sun light they won't come on, but I don't think that will be too much of an issue when winter's over, but they are solar so some nights they probably won't come on. Also the metal case matches my railing posts.

Really like these. Easy to install. Set about 18 in above steps. Provides adequate light. Nice design. Good luck. High function. Somewhat variable if shady spots. Overall extremely pleased

These lights worked great when I initially charged them per the directions, but my front stairs don't get direct sunlight in fall/winter so they are dim for only a few hours.

Used two for driveway gate pillars. Hard to drill on brick but once done they worked fine. Best when exposed to direct sunlight but they do the job

Look more expensive then what I paid for them. Gives the perfect amount of lighting for my steps.

I waited a long time before posting a review of these because I wanted to be sure I fully tested them in every scenario. The first 2 weeks I had them we had lots of cloudy, rainy weather. So they weren't staying on very long but I couldn't be sure it wasn't just a lack of enough sunlight. Now, after at least a month of having them on my deck in different locations I still can't say it's a lack of sun. They come on at dusk, right on schedule. But I never get more than around 4-5 hours out of them before they start to go black. I will say that my back yard has a lot of filtered sun most of the day. It only gets full sun for an hour or 2 on the deck as the sun starts to set.The quality is definitely there though. They're good looking, well-made lights. They never failed to come on, even with all the rain. They're smaller than they appear on line, but in a good way. And I really appreciate the warm white light they give off, as I'm not a fan of the blue light look. But if these taught me anything it's the fact that for my back yard I'm probably going to have to go with a low-voltage wired system. I need something that will come on at dusk and stay on until sunrise, every night and every light. After over a month with these I just couldn't get that to happen. If you can get a full 8 hours of full sun your milage may vary, as may your requirements.

I bought these lights as a present for a neighbour with new patio decking, and installed them myself. This is a 6-month review, as they're an outdoor product so it's worth knowing how they'll survive. The UK had a very wet late spring and early summer this year, and these lights were outside in all of that. They are all still performing perfectly, and there is no sign of any water ingress. They were very easy to install on wooden decking; one tip from me is to buy and use some high-quality screws, (I used no.6 size pozidriv, as the heads of no.6 screws fit in the rear slots perfectly) which will make installation easier and quicker. Before installing, I dismantled one of the lights to see how it was constructed, and whether the battery could be changed in the future when the daily charge-discharge cycle has reduced its effectiveness.I'm pleased to say the lights have a silicone gasket to seal them from water ingress (which I replaced carefully!), and also that they take standard AA rechargeable batteries, so when the batteries do eventually need replacement, it will be easy to do.These lights are good looking and made from strong pressed steel. I mounted them on the uprights of steps on decking, and they have survived being stepped on and knocked off their mounting screws, as well as the English summer, with no sign of damage.I definitely recommend considering these if you are looking for some good quality outdoor solar lighting. Please consider leaving a helpful vote if my review has been useful!

I purchased these to mark the end of our wall, so as to make it easier to reverse in to the drive at night. They do look bigger in the picture than they are in real life, so take note of the dimensions in the description: 10 x 2.3 x 8.3 cmHowever for such a small unit, they give plenty of light and appear to charge well even in fairly low light conditions, I'll have to wait and see how well they fair in winter.I like them so much, I bought another pair.

Nice looking on my deck and porch stairs, I've received many compliments because of them. I thought size was going to be too big but once installed they look just fine. Brightness is just perfect, but as with any other solar product, we really depend on sunny days which we haven't been getting lately. I still they are a bit expensive for what they are, but I couldn't find any other option (that I like).
