This product does what it is supposed to. I have an older lexus GX model that only has a CD player and a Cassette player. I have had this product for about 6 months now and it still works GREAT. Most people talk about how the sound is gross and distorted, this is due to the device you are using to play the music (iPod, iPhone, or any mp3/mp4 player) YOU HAVE TO TURN THE VOLUME TO AROUND THE HALF WAY POINT ON YOUR DEVICE!!! If you do not do this, that is when you get the cruddy sound! Overall 5 * product! cheap and does it's job well and lasts a long time!

It takes longer to unbox the adaptor than it takes to have your radio working. Other than seeing the wire between the radio and the XM unit the hookup and quality of sound is very good.

I still can NOT get the adapter to work properly.Regular tapes work okay. The adapter goes in (fine) with XM up it attempts to work then is ejected; turned over the player attempts to select the correct side to "play" then is ejected.I have tried to find someone to talk to about resolving this situation and have not had any good feedback. Is there a problem with older cars? (mine is a 1998 Honda CRV)We purchased this so we could move it from car to car when we travel.ANY help or a working adapter would be great.

Honestly does the job. There's no perfect cassette adapter in existence, and this gets the job done just fine. There is a slight ticking, but this will exist no matter what adapter you get because the actual tape deck will be trying to play/close consistently. I play my music moderately loud and I can't hear it at all. Know that it's not perfect, but I'd rather listen to my music with some ticking than the crap on the radio.

Man this totally beats the FM bluetooth adapters or even bluetooth cassette adapters. Sounds quality is amazing and crisp - no bluetooth losses! Mine is dead quiet and doesn't rattle in a 1992 Lexus SC300

I was skeptical at first because of the reviews I’ve read on here about this product.I have a 95 Cadillac Deville. I wanted to keep the stock radio but I also wanted to play my Sirius radio but the stock radio doesn’t have an Aux plug. So I went to Wal-Mart and bought an Onn brand cassette adapter all I got was static when playing it. So I bought another cassette adapter from Amazon called Creativecase car cassette adapter that too was very static when playing it So then I bought an FMDA but the pin was to big and they don’t make an adapter for it so I bought this cassette I’m glad I did because the sound is very good No click or taps good clean crisp sound. Now I won’t have to upgrade my stock radio.

I bought one of these back in 2011, and it worked pretty much flawlessly for about 4 years before all of the sudden I no longer was getting any sound on my car stereo system. Checking my amazon purchase history, I recently ordered another from the same page (from a third party seller). The cassette adapter I received looks almost identical, though I think maybe the writing/logo is placed differently. However the quality seems to have declined a bit, but not too much to make this product unusable. It just feels cheaper, and the sound quality delivered is a little bit worse now (I would give the sound quality a 7/10 on this one, and 9/10 on the old). Also, sometimes when I pause the music for a short period of time with this new cassette, it starts rewinding randomly in the cassette player. I just have to hit the "play" button on my car radio before playing my music again, so it's more of a minor inconvenience. This is still an indispensable item to have if you drive an old car like mine with no CD player or aux, I just wish the quality of the replacement was as good as the old one. The older one was one of the best purchases I have ever made, at under $5.
