Reviewing this item for Sony A6700. Great fitment and quality of materials. Fold out design allows access to menu wheel as advertised. However, in everyday use, I did not find it very helpful. Perhaps that is because I have been using Sony APSC camera bodies for so long that I have muscle memory which doesn't adapt to this accessory. There is already a raised area on the body to rest your thumb and blocking two dials (even with the swing-arm design) means not everyone will adopt the ergonomics. Your experience may vary.

This arrived on time and seems to work very well. The build is strong and seems to be used on a regular basis. I would highly recommend this product. It fits in my camera bag very well and it does not get caught on anything. Looks like a get buy for my new Sony camera.

I have a Fuji x100v. Item has good quality, is long enough to not cover the rear command dial, but its too loose that it easily slips off the hot shoe. I bought other thumb grips but its too short that its covering the command dial and this one is the only one long enough. Will keep this but hope they find a way to make it thicker or tighter for it not to slip off the hot shoe easily.

The grip was a little loose in the hotshoe, but i put a small amount of tape along the side and now it's snug and perfect.

Fits great, works well and adds that little bit of stability and comfort. I have big hands and can still access the buttons and control wheel below the thumb rest. This makes the thumb rest on the back of the camera body more of a hand grip than a thumb rest, it tucks into the meaty portion of your hand nicely. I have had thumb rest on my X-T3, X-T4, and now the X-T5. I like them and for me they are worth the small cost.

I purchased this JJC Deluxe Metal Thumb Grip TA-XT5 for my X-T5 back in March and have been using it fairly frequently. It appears to be a quality product, but has two major design flaws:1) On the XT-5, the thumb rest and cross bar are too close to the top plate of the camera and get in the way of accessing the rear control wheel on the camera.2) The other flaw is that the metal bar between the mounting shoe and the actual thumb rest is too thin and will bend over a period of time, especially when used with larger hands. I have a strong grip and rely more on my grip (with the shoulder strap wrapped around my hand several times). After using it for 4 months, the thumb grip is now bent downwards towards the camera top plate, interfering even more with accessing the rear control wheel. The camera is always in the bag when not in use and it has not been dropped, there is not a single mark on the Thumbrest.I became aware of this after the Amazon return window had closed and reached out to JJC last week directly, explaining the issue and kindly asking for a replacement, as I expected this product to be covered under some kind of warranty.I didn’t hear back from JJC customer service and have purchased a thumb rest for my X-T5 by a different manufacturer since. Hope this review helps JJC to design a better thumb rest (stronger, different metal perhaps) and also respond to quality related issues in a more timely manner.

This is a JJC branded thumb grip for the X-T50 and it actually exceeded my expectations on the quality! The hot shoe insert has rubber on the bottom covering the ports, and a leatherette rectangle on the top side for design. The thumb grip itself has a leather textured rubber pad for extra comfort and grip. Build quality is solid, although I think the paint is a little on the thin-side as test fitting it on random cameras (including vintage film cameras where it doesn't fit) has already given me a small chip on the paint. Note that this paint chip is not visible while in use, and what caused it in the first place was also against its normal use scenario. My only complaint, which doesn't pose any usability issues, is the fit. It is just a ever tiny bit too narrow to have a super snug fit in the hot shoe of the camera. It will angle itself ever so slightly to wedge itself solidly. And as for the ergonomics, it's actually not bad at all but as someone who is used to holding cameras in the shape of the X-T50, it changes the grip completely. You end up pinching the camera with you palm a bit more, but I can see it being a useful way to change grips to give your fingers a rest sometimes, if rest be needed. The dials are all still pretty accessible though you might need to use your index instead of your thumb for the exposure compensation dial--something you admittedly don't constantly use on the go. It also doesn't get in the way of normal grip and normal usage too, so overall I think it's a worthwhile accessory to own.The one thing I am a little irked about is the pricing on Amazon at the time of ordering, and at the time of writing the review. There is a pretty big price discrepancy between the black and the silver color... so that is a bit annoying. Hopefully the price will level itself out (at the price of the lower one!)

Iets te duur voor wat je krijgt, maar hiermee en zeker in combinatie met de grip kan je wel veel gemakkelijker met 1 hand bedienen
