Features
Special IC built in to ensure the tow hitch mounted LED tail/brake light doesn't flash when only your turn signals are on. If both your brake lights and turn signal lights are active, the hitch mount LED brake light will flash along with your turn signals to add another turning/merging blinker.
Wide Compatibility
The tow hitch mounted LED brake light can fit standard 2" tralier hitch receiver with a standard 4-pin trailer adapter for the LED brake light to power. If it does not, you will have to purchase a 7-pin to 4-pin adapter.
Waterproof
Made of sealed waterproof material, with a waterproof rating of IP68, so you don’t have to worry that the light won’t work on rainy days!
Please make sure your car has standard 2" hitch receiver with standard 4-pin trailer adapter. This will NOT fit a 1-1.25" trail hitch receiver. Your truck or SUV must also come with a standard 4-pin trailer adapter for the LED brake light to power. If it does not, you will have to purchase a 7-pin to 4-pin adapter.
For this LED tail/brake light to light up, the 4-pin adapter must have a +++/- configuration (+ for running, left and right turn signals; - for ground). In some rare cases, the stock vehicle's positive/negative are reversed (---/+). Since the LED assembly is polar sensitive, the reversed polarity will cause the LED to not light up
The tow hitch cover is only secured by the tow hitch lock to make sure that it does not fall off, so the lock is not completely tight. There is already some foam in the inner side of the tow hitch cover, but if you feel that you would like the tow hitch cover to fit more snug, you can always add some foam to hold the tow hitch cover in place.

I dislike that it doesn't seal and/or fit snug against the hitch there is 1/2-1/4" opening where rain, debris etc can get into the hitch or the light (over time). The 4way plug on the end of the light has to hang down from light then plug to the vehicle which is partly why it want seal. (That's not a deal breaker) The light part is all plastic. Only for 2" hitches.Gonna try some weather stripping cut to size to see if it will seal.Over all I wouldn't have purchased had I have known. Price was decent delivery was on time.

This looks good but I do not like the fact it flashes when turning. Would prefer it stayed as a brake light.

Purchased this light for my 2005 Jeep TJ. The package did arrive in a timely manner. No instruction, but it's pretty straightforward. I expected a quick 2-minute installation. However, that did not happen. The electrical connector on the light would not fit the connector on my hitch. The insulated electrical pin on the light connector was oversized. There was no way to mate the two electrical connectors together. I end up going to my local auto parts store and purchasing a new trailer-hitch electrical connector. Replaced it with the one on the light and all worked fine. The connector on the light was obviously out of spec. The fix cost me an extra $5 and a couple of hours.

Inexpensively cover an area that can take a hit. If so, at least this is inexpensive, and a new one is under $20.
