This tank boot fit so-so. I have steel Faber HP 117 (FX117) tanks. Amazon's pictured boot does not exactly match what you receive. The tank will not sit evenly once it is placed in the boot. The tank will protrude slightly beyond the flat semi-open bottom of the boot, causing the tank to wobble a little when it's standing up. It can shift a little upon setting the tank down, but it won't fall over. The correct XS Scuba part # for a steel Faber HP 117 (FX117) is TBR8F (Worthington 8" tanks have a different part #), although it is a round boot and not a HEX design. I could not find it online, but any XS Scuba dealer can order it for you. My dive shop had one in stock. I've added pictures to show the difference. The round boot fit is superb and stable.

Shaved off the inside so the tank sits lower. Like it
