I build guitar effect pedals and seem to go through tips regularly. These fit my iron and seem to last longer than other tips I’ve used.

These have about 1/8” longer tube than 6400307 so when installed on a RadioShack 6400266 60W soldering iron, the lock nut only catches a couple threads. They still work, and tinned well, but you really increase your odds of stripping the threads by accident.

These are fine tips, the first picture makes them look smaller than they actually are. The picture that shows the actual measured size of the tip (5mm) is more accurate. These are great for smaller components, but you definitely want a smaller tip for micro soldering. They should fit most irons that accept a hollow tip and the performance will vary on the fit. These work well so far in my non-branded Chinese soldering station. They hold solder well and having 10 is great.

I work on lots of soldering kits and many of them have many components very close to each other. A long, pointed tip is very helpful with these and since I like to clean the tip each time I solder a joint, I can actually wear out a tip. This set of 10 ought to last me a long time. These are not with a sharp point on the end, rather it is rounded out. That provides a little more heat to the joint and help the solder flow a little easier, and because the tip is so long, it doesn't get in the way of other components. These will get some good use with my Hakko soldering station.

They look sharper in the display but still work great

For the amount of soldering I have left in life 10 tips will probably be 8 tips too many but when I need to solder it will beat what I've been resorting to. I haven't done a lot of soldering in recent years but this winter when I dug out the iron my old tip was so misshapen I used a grinding wheel to try to sharpen it again. It never seems to be as good as a new tip though. These will be nice and precise.

I've been looking for alternative tips for my Hakko 936 soldering station which uses a Hakko 907 medium iron. The Hakko branded tips are quite expensive but at least they are made very well and are of quality which you ultimately pay for. As a hobbiest with fixing electronic things I only use my iron occasionally but am always looking for soldering iron tips of various shapes and sizes to compliment my fix-it station. With that being said I ordered the Yakamoz soldering iron tips for my Hakko 907. There are 10 tips in the package and they all look uniform in quality, weight and finish. The bottom hollow part of the tip where it goes over the iron is a bit longer by maybe a millimeter than the original Hakko tip. I'm not sure if this extra millimeter in length affects the heat from the ceramic core to the iron tip. The top of the Yakamoz iron tip is pretty long as you can see in the product photos, this makes it easy to reach into crevices between components but it also kind of hinders the heating of the tip since more surface area on the tip will dissipate more heat which means you have to crank up the temp in order to achieve your desired solder melting point. One thing I really noticed about the Yakamoz soldering iron tips is that the hollow part where the ceramic tip goes into has a slightly larger inner diameter than the original Hakko tips. This larger inner diameter gives the tip a lot of play once inserted into the ceramic core which prevents the core from properly heating the metal surface of the tip, thus losing some heat. Maybe this is one other reason I had trouble maintaining a proper temperature. I had to crank up the temperature in order to quickly achieve the same performance as the original Hakko tip.Other than the fitment, the Yakamoz iron tips are okay for what you pay for. If you want quality and performance, I would suggest sticking with the Hakko branded tips.

As one reviewer mentioned, these are not as fine as they appear in the pictures. I ordered a different kit, with assorted tips, and was happier with those it all depends on what you'll be doing. These are fine for soldering wire, but they're a bit bulky for doing PCB work. Enjoy.
