Haven't tried it yet, but it does look like it will work fine. It's just smaller than I expected it to be. I'll have to refill the frosting often which will be fine for cookies with lots of colors I suppose.

My husband bought this for me for my birthday as I love baking and decorating cakes. It is so easy to use! You simply put icing in a bag, put a tip on it, place it in the pen and start writing! It allows me to write beautiful messages or decorations on any cake. People have immediately noticed how much better the writing has gotten and how the decorations have looked more professional. This is definitely a staple in our kitchen now when it comes to baking/decorating cakes!

I used this for drawing straight lines for football laces on football shaped brownies. It was very easy to use and much less stress on my hands and fingers than just using the icing bag on its own. It's important to be sure the icing is always below the top piece (I don't think I twisted the bag enough at the top and some icing leaked out the top but that was my novice level of decorating, not the pen) and if you are decorating with a lot of icing, you may need to fill the bag more than once but I really loved the ease of use since I'm really new to decorating.

I am sure there are people that use this just fine but it was very difficult for me. If you don't have your frosting the exact right consistency it is very difficult.

I bought it and gave it to the school's teacher of my kids (1 and 3 years old). Them and all the kids from school are loving it. They decorate cakes and cookies and it's super easy to use it.
