product description is accurate it's 4 inches so don't complaint because you can't understand what 4 inches looks like . we'll some of you may relate lol. it light duty I'm using it for my camera at the bow of my yak. tips. use a 9/64 drill bit for tighter fit of screws. they use a 3/32 hex drive and 9 mm nut. that is lousy to use both standard and metric. so 1 star off.

Its a good piece, made out of sturdy plastic. Ive had my yakattack omega pro rod holder on it and used it to troll line and land fish and it hasnt given out. It wobbles but what can you expect from plastic. Overall great buy.
