First of all this review is in no way a reflection on the seller. The seller and their pricing were fine, but in the world of trumpet mouthpieces, it is often "hit or miss" with the respective performer. In my case, this was a miss, but we learn from it and move on. I was to use this in conjunction with my Schilke Bb/A piccolo trumpet which requires a short shank cornet mouthpiece. It was billed as being compared to a Denis Wick Cornet S mouthpiece. I have not tried the Denis Wick mouthpiece yet and may or may not at this point. The YAMAHA 7D4D I found to be less than stellar in terms of response and/or usability when compared to the BACH 7E I was previously using and now will continue to use. This is probably a pretty common issue amongst trumpet players when choosing equipment and though the 7D4D didn't work for me, that doesn't mean it wouldn't work for someone else. The only way to have known would have been to try it. I did. I didn't care for it and as I said, we learn from it and move on.
