This review is for Yamaha EB-HCThe case is well built, it fits my 4 and 5 string Yamaha Broad Basses. I had purchases a tweed case prior and it fits all my basses EXCEPT the BB’s . The knob layout/cutout do not line up. This case is not molded so for some basses this may not be the best choice, but for what it was designed for its aces. My case was received in perfect condition, the hardware is stout and roust, the inner compartment is spacious enough for sheet music , tuner strap etc. Ordering another today!

I got a Used one on Amazon that was described as being in “like new” condition - and indeed, it was! It was still in the original sealed bag w/ original tag and key, but price was about $50 less than a new one, so it was a terrific deal. In terms of size, I could not find the Internal Dimensions in the product description so I was concerned that my bass might not fit, but it turns out there is more than enough room. For those of you wondering about the actual Internal dimensions, they are 47” long x 13 1/2 “ wide. My Ibanez GSR200 fits easily, with just about 4” to spare above the headstock, and more than enough width around the body to lay the shoulder strap alongside the lower bout. Depth is perfect. The padding in the top lid and bottom floor is hard to measure accurately, but it is a dense foam and appears to be b/w 1/2” and 3/4” thick. The padding around the edge of lower portion of the case (that surrounds the body of the bass) is a soft foam about 3/4” thick. The outer shell feels like it is reinforced w/ plywood, and is thick and rigid enough to offer more than adequate protection for normal daily use. However, if checking it as airline baggage I would definitely put the whole thing in a sturdy cardboard box w/ additional padding, just to be on the safe side. There is no mention of Yamaha on the exterior of the case, but there is a small Yamaha insert/card inside, and it mentions that it was made by Access Cases, in instrument case manufacturer. The specs of this Yamaha case seems to match those of the Access “Stage One” model electric bass case which I found on the Access websitehttps://www.accessbagsandcases.com/product/stage-one-electric-bass-case/

I bought this to replace another well known value brand case that I returned as it was damaged and apparently not subject to any quality assurance checks. Anyhow this case is way better and even cost less. It's well built with sufficient padding material that should protect the instrument inside from the usual types of damage that could occur when using no case or a gig bag. It's a perfect fit for my P-bass type bass and my Ibanez style bass. The handle placement is perfect for keeping the case in balance when carrying it. I'd buy again if I need another case.

Used this case for a trip across country. It was rugged and protective as advertised. It’s a little heavy, but we’ll take that in exchange for the protection it provides.

I am a huge fan of Yamaha products (motorcycles, musical instruments).I can honestly say this is the first time I have been disappointed with a product with the Yamaha brand attached.I will likely 3-D print a replacement part and glue it to the case. It is cumbersome to return. The case was put into a box that was oversized and had no packing material in the box so the case just bounced around during shipping.Still, I was unable to find the missing part in the shipping box.

Nice case perfect for my Yamaha broad base 434. Not the cheapest hard shell case but close to it, and the Yamaha factory item. I hope it'll be a plus when I go to sell it some day.

Needed a quality hard-shell case for my expensive ESP Custom Shop bass; this fit the instrument beautifully! The bass originally came with an ESP deluxe padded gig bag, not the most desirable when stacked along side other instruments while not in use at home or out in real world. Fit, finish, shell strength and interior padding are on par with cases costing twice as much; seriously! Perfect for gigging without the worry of snapping the headstock if some knucklehead knocked it over at a venue prior to set-up or after the show. Thanks Yamaha for another quality product!

I bought this case to fit my Yamaha TRBX4 bass. Its a very well constructed case. Very durable and has a nice sleek design. The neck of the bass fits tight in the neck groove of the case and has a little room around the body. It doesn't fit it like a custom case would, but does the job Very well. It has extra plush padding on top so when you close it, it hugs the bass tight so not a lot of wiggle happens when transporting it. I would have given a 5 star rating, but the only complaint (or issue) I have is that I wish the storage compartment inside was a little bigger. Its hard to fit a couple cords and a strap and close the compartment lid/door tightly. They could have designed it bigger as there is plenty of room to expand it towards the headstock of the guitar. The latches seem a tad loose and I just hope they don't get looser as time goes by opening and closing the case. But as of now, I'm super happy with the case and would pay the price again for another without any thought. If you have TRBX bass model and need a hard shell case for it, I'd recommend this one for sure.
