My son got a trumpet from school, and his existing lyre post was just a little too thick to fit on the trumpet. This lyre post fit perfectly, and the price was right as well.

It got here a day late, but in good condition. However it didn't fit my son's trumpet. My husband had to pound the metal to make it fit the trumpet, the price was good and I didn't feel like returning it

We bought one of these for my son's Yamaha trumpet, for starting high school marching band. The YAC-1500G was not a drop in replacement, it required filing down to get the lyre post to fit into the pinky ring. Works fine after being 'customized' to suit. Just sort of surprised that this - the only Yamaha lyre I found - wouldn't fit a common student model horn.

When I got this, it was a tad too big for my trumpet. I have been playing for 6 years now, and lost my old one that I had gotten at a store in town. I was able to fix it with my own machines at home, but you shouldn't have to do that when its NEW! needless to say, it works beautifully when fixed, but if you dont want to fix something...dont get this.

Giving it 2 stars because it doesn't fit our cornet, even though the description specified it was OK for that instrument. Otherwise the quality is good and it was shipped overnight and was on time.

Arrived just as described. My daughter says it works well and has not had any issues with it.
