It has very good tone, and I really like the thumb rest. It has a pad on it which makes it soft- that was nice!It was very easy to play, the keys were nice and did not stick. Sometimes newer instruments are hard to get the air through because they are new, and this clarinet played right away like I’ve had it along time. Incredible quality at a great price!!!

I don't know if my opinion has any weight on this clarinet since it's my first time buying one or playing one. But I know it was friendly enough to learn with it.The instrument is beautiful, nice quality and a complete set. I hope this can help anyone who has no idea where to start.

I played clarinet for over 15 years on a Buffet, and just recently wanted to start playing with my daughter so bought this. Good clarinet except the mouthpiece... The mouthpiece is completely unusable as the clamp does not hold the reed down at all, it immediately slides off when tightening. I actually believe it's shaped wrong, as I've never had to bite down so hard just to get it to play. The kit also does not come with cork grease which is a necessity. The quality of sound I think will be good with the right mouthpiece, but for 100 bucks it's a pretty good deal. The keys feel tight and decent quality, now I just need a mouthpiece that works.

Good value for the beginner, good quality for the price. If your child learns to play well, then you can step up to better quality instrument.

Granddaughter is playing the clarinet in school using the school instrument and got this for her because the school one was shared by every class. She was happy and amazed to came with everything and didn't have to buy the extra's for it. So win win.

I have had mine for quite a long time now. I just love the sound. For me it's easy to play. I always had a hard time with a more expensive one I had in the past, not having that one anymore and desiring to play again I purchased this one. I really feel it is built well for the price.
