I replaced the factory foam with this version of foam as it offers a more sturdy platform and I did not have to cut anything out of it if I don't want to. The factory stuff was cheap and did not offer much with customizing as it just flaked apart. This is very sturdy and made for easy modification to add items in the case while still having rifles in it as well and cutting was simple and nicely done.

I've used to make cutout for a rifle case and works great. Allot better/sturdy than the pluck out type of foam as this one you have to cut out with utility know and don't have to worry about falling apart. I've glued the backing with cutout and reinforced with carboard to make very custom sturdy transport packaging.

Nothing wrong with the product. Sizes were as promised. Items were uniform and consistent.I removed 1 star because the product is packing foam... And generally expensive everywhere for what it is. This was no exception.

cuts easy with a electric knife and can be glued together with 3M supper 77 spray glue
