These thread protector fit perfectly over my 1/4" threaded rods which are on my house and exposed to constant sun, rain, wind and the salt air which can corrode it very easily. These covers cover almost the entire length and also keep it safe by any accidently bumps or scratches.

Bought these as I couldn’t find white screw thread protectors long enough for the screws I have used for my hurricane shutter setup. Hopefully these being black won’t attract more sun/heat and melt them onto my permanent screws, but at least these cover the whole screw from rusting or corroding.
