I bought this for a recent vacation/cruise my wife and I took and I am very impressed. The quality and craftsmanship are great, including magnetic chips which don't slide around at all. We probably played 1,000+ games on the ship, on the planes, in a bus, etc. without any issues. It is a little bigger than I expected but after hauling it around daily for a week I have no complaints. We also used it for other dice/card games as well which was ideal. Would highly recommend if you enjoy Backgammon! If I had one complaint, it would be the set does look a bit girly and visibly carrying it definitely looks like I'm carrying a purse lol. Totally worth it though!

Small and magnetic. You can play this if you're taking a bus and we take buses for a longer trip. If you're taking an Amtrak train and we take Amtrak trains and even on an aircraft. You can play a game with your seat made with no problem. And you don't have to worry about bumps air pockets that you hit on their airplane or anything like that. Because everything stays in place. It's not very big but big enough. I highly recommend this for a travel set.

Gorgeous. Love the smaller size. My husband and I like to bring it along to our favorite cafe and play while we enjoy a glass of wine. Our old set took up too much room, but this is half the size. Bonus- did not realize it was magnetic!

Our larger backgammon set is much preferable at home, but the small size of this set is perfect for dragging around when traveling. Everything is smaller and the sticky felt slows down moving the pieces.

I discovered backgammon when staying at an Airbnb, where they had a similar "travel size" game with magnetic checkers, and liked it so much I wanted to have one at home. The green and beige board I ordered looks even better than the one I learned on, the checkers are great (and my cats can't move them so easily because they stay in place!), the box is very well made and looks elegant in my library, and most of all, the game is so much fun! Totally addictive, and easy to play in any place I go to.

Got the orange one, which I adore. It's very well made. All felt inside, as well as inside the cups, so it's quiet when rolling the dice -- very important to me. Small enough to travel well but not too small to play comfortably. Very pleased!
