When I received this set I liked the packaging and immediately opened them up. I noticed right away that they don't "feel" very sharp on the flute cutting edges. I am going to try several of these taps using the correct tap drill size to see if they are free cutting or not. If they are not sharpened correctly they will definitely break as they are hardened and brittle by nature, we'll see. I would rather they break in a drop piece of scrap than ruin hours of machine work.
