Yinpecly M12 304SS Thimbles for 1/2" Rope, Wire & Cable are Good Quality Rust Resistance! These are ready to use out of the box for wire and cable. For rope use, check them for burs that can cut into your rope over time. It may need filing and polishing. I found three out of ten that needed polishing for rope usage.I need to braid a thimble into an anchor line. There is no “replacing†the existing thimble that was chrome plated steel. The rope will need to be cut and braided.Bottom Line: 5 StarsThese thimbles by Yinpecly are solidly made and ready for saltwater service. You should be very pleased with what you receive… I was!

I need these for some makeshift fencing. They feel just as good as the ones you get at the big box stores, but for way less money and way more in the package. They're plenty stout and the cable stays in nicely. They don't bend or crush easily even under high tension. Great value for what you get.

I picked these up to have around for some wire projects since I was running low on thimbles. These seem as good as any you'd find at the hardware store...nothing out of the ordinary. The price seems good for the quantity as well.

Super easy to use and they were great… heavier duty than I was expecting, which was a nice surprise…

I used the M5 with 1/8†cable. They worked well for my use. I was using these to hang cable for a batting cage net. No issues. Pricing is really good. Currently $12 for 50 pieces of size M5.

I ordered the M5 thimble as recommended for 3/16 inch cable. I didn’t check the dimensions that are listed as I assumed these would be the correct size. As you can see from my picture the cable does fit the width of the groove but it is very difficult to fold the cable around the thimble. In the picture provided I am bending it very hard. I did a little research and thimbles that are designed for US Standard 3/16 (not a metric conversion) have an inner diameter of .7-.75 inches, these thimbles are .51 inch. I won’t be using these for the purposes that I purchased them for, maybe they will work with thinner cable. Buyer be cautioned to order a larger size than recommended in the description unless you are sure the dimensions will work for you. The quality and price are nice so for that they still get 3 stars but make sure you get the right size.

A thimble is necessary when making sharp bends that may be under stress. Properly applied, they'll work as a strain relief. These are simple and well-made for that job.

These are fairly small and on lightweight, but week to be made from good quality stainless steel. The finish is bright and smooth.I used these with 1/8-inch 316 stainless rope, the M3 size thimbles fit well. It's too early to tell how these are going to hold up to the elements in outdoor use, but so far they are not showing any signs or rust or corrosion.Price is reasonable for the quantity in the kit.
