I ordered this for my wife to store her yoga mat in. I was concerned about the size due to the thickness of her yoga mat and while it was a snug fit into the bag, I was able to roll the mat up tight enough to fit into the bag. The bag is colorful and appears to be strong enough for the task. The material is waterproof with rain beading up and rolling off. My wife likes the bag and uses it and when she rolls up the mat, again it goes in tight but she is able to roll it up with ease.

My disappointment over this NOT being what I was expecting was quickly overcome when I realized how handy a waterproof bag might prove on overcast days. I have gotten caught unaware several times and arrived home with a sopping bag full of damp yoga gear. I am impressed with several aspects of this bag. The full body zip with pulls on both sides allows me to lay my rolled mat inside with ease ... with no risk of bent corners. It easily holds any of my standard mats. It has a roomy outer pocket made of the same material, with a secure Velcro closure, which accommodates my phone (in a wallet style case). On one end, there is a small circular compartment, the same diameter of the bag for tucking in a rolled towel, strap or yoga socks. It was so hard to choose a print! They are all so attractive!This bag is very well constructed: The inner seams are covered with bias tape; all the stitches are interlocking and the bag features both a handle and over-the-shoulder strap. One reviewer mentioned an interior mesh bag, which I mine does not have, but it is not a deal breaker. My only *ask* would have been an exterior mesh sleeve for a water bottle. Everything else about this bag is PERFECT.

Great yoga bag that's nicely designed, and easily fits a standard ¼" mat or even a thicker one. It is said that the bag is made of canvas, but actually it's a lined nylon or plastic type material...mine still has that plastic smell, but it's diminishing.There is a carrying handle and a long adjustable carrying strap on the side of the bag. The main compartment zipper has two zipper slides and the opening has a long curve on both ends, thus it provides a really huge opening to easily put the mat inside.There is a small zippered compartment on one end of the bag that can hold a wallet, phone, keys, etc. There is also a mesh pocket inside that compartment for loose items. There is an additional compartment or pocket on the side of the bag, with a Velcro flap closure, which maybe could hold a small narrow water bottle, but there actually is room to put a standard water bottle in with the mat...at least with a ¼" mat.I really love the wild crazy colors and artwork on the bag, it's definitely different. I get lots of comments on it, mostly compliments...lol. All in all this is a terrific yoga bag that I highly recommend.

I asked for this bag because it is beautiful. The floral design comes in several color schemes. This one is the Yellow. The bag is very well made with all internal seams covered over with bias tape. The nylon zippers are high quality and sturdy as are the large zipper pulls. One end of the bag has a circular “end cap†pocket in which you could stick your pocketbook or cell phone, maybe a small face towel. On the exterior of the bag is a vertical pocket that closes with hook & loop patches (Velcro). That pocket could hold one yoga strap. The fabric used in this bag is slick well-made and has a white coated inner surface. I think this surface will protect against water and rain. However, if you do a type of yoga where you are doing a lot of sweating on your mat, I think this inner liner will not allow the bag to breather or exchange air so a damp or sweaty mat will not be able to dry. If you don’t have a problem with sweat then consider that this liner will protect your mat from sunlight. I place my latex mat, with a standard width (26 inch) and standard length(68 inches) with a 3/16 inch thickness(from the well-known brand that starts with “Jâ€) inside and it fit no problem. I’m not certain if this mat will fit a 28 inch wide mat, or a mat with a 5/16 inch thickness or greater. I then placed my combo cork/latex mat. These two layer two material mats are stiffer than a pure latex mat. This mat is a bit thicker than my “J†mat. The width of this mat is also 26 inches. Because the length of the main opening of the yoga bag is 23 ¾ inch long, I could just barely push this cork/latex bag in. If you are using a lower end PVC or other thin man made mat, they should fit in fine as they are thinner and the material is more pliable to squeezing into a tight opening. This is a beautiful bag, but I think if the length and width were just increased slightly, they could reassure most customers that their mats will fit in this bag.
