Grabbed this as I was looking for a charger that would also charge LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries. I am converting all of my 12 or 24 volt systems from lead acid to the newer chemistry batteries. LiFePO4 batteries need different charging parameters than the old standard lead acid type. These newer chemistry batteries will become the dominant replacement for lead acid types, as they are lighter, safer, longer lived, and have higher energy density for size than the older technology. Originally price was limiting factor, but they are now becoming price competitive.This one also does 24 volt applications as well as 12 volt, which I needed for a mobility scooter conversion from lead acid to LiFePO4 batteries.There were several chargers presented on my Amazon search, but this one seemed to be the best overall based on price, power, and features. It did not disappoint, and works well.It has several features useful for charging, maintaining and in some cases restoring lead acid batteries which will still be around for a while. It also has the added capability of charging and maintaining the newer LiFePO4 batteries.Operation is simple and straightforward, and the charger has “idiot proof†protections built in.Can’t go wrong.

I got 3 of this at our shop.Noco Genius 10A $100 i dont really like it because it do not show what voltage and amp it's charging at, but that's just my personal opinion. Build quality on his is A+Electric SC1280 $60, my favorti has a 3amp and 15amp. display to show voltage and % of charge, 15amp is fast but 3amp is the way to go. slow charge will juice up the batter without overheating the battery and degrade it. We used it outdoor over 100 degreed in hot florida and a few older battery got damaged. Build Quality BYonhan 10amp $35 I like the price and it do the job, LCD is usefull i like to see what it's doing, shows amp, volt and % of charge, it's the slowest of all, so far it's charge anywhere from 3amp to 10 amp, which i dont mind, slow charge is better and safer for some older battery. Quality C (power cord is really short, need use extension, and 12v charger cord is really short too) hey for the price i dont mind, and i am a big fan of charging at different amps & volt, has on board chip to regulate.For a pro shop you will probly need a 15amp+ charger for speed, but for me our batterys are old and high amps + high volts will end up damage it.

Seems cheap with the brittle ABS plastic housing, but it is compact and works. Keeps my van battery topped off and also conditions it to hold a charge better. Easy to use and it takes up little storage space. I gave 4 stars due to the fact that there is no real shock absorption to it. If you drop it, it will may crack due to the brittle plastic used. Should have rubber bumpers or something. At least it isn't heavy.

I didn't expect this battery charger to function so well, and it's an unknown brand.I was able to charge my 6 year old car battery without a problem.It's just a 5 Amp battery charger, so make sure to charge the battery overnight to avoid frustrations.It has some great features that I liked: Microprocessor controlled, Automatic switch mode, Overheat,Short circuit, Reverse polarity protection and battery repair.I'm sure that this battery charger will last me for sometime, because I very rarely charge my car battery.

for the price you can’t beat what you get in this charger. i use it for my boat mostly and works great. used it probably 30 times so far. only thing i would change is the leads to be a foot longer for convenience but it is very manageable.

Unit is lightweight but after a few of months use:1. The display has dropped digit segments.2. Fan has become noisy (rumbles).It has charged well and was used setting at an inclination of 70-80 degrees.

This does the job, and works well. Unfortunately it would be very easy to accidentally press the one button and choose the wrong battery type, so I don’t know what the consequences of that would be. If you charge a lithium battery in AGM mode, for example. It would be nice if the selection mechanism was a bit more secure/permanent like a firm rocker or slider switch for the battery type. The casing and wires and clamps are cha-cha-cha China cheapo, so I don’t expect great longevity here. Good value overall, since it works (for now?) - I will update this review if it dies.
