Forstner bits are a great choice for cutting clean and accurate flat bottom holes. Except for the slight notch created by the centre spur, the resulting holes are clean and smooth. The middle spur helps centre the bit, while the outer rim helps maintain the bits position when drilling angled or overlapping holes. Steel forstner bits are sharp and rugged which will perform flawlessly over and over again.

I was looking for a Forstner bit to drill some clean holes in cabinets for recessed mini-puck lights. I checked out many other brands and settled on this product, primarily due to the great reviews. This bit did not disappoint. I drilled 15 holes through 1-1/2" of plywood that was finished on one side. The mini-puck lights fit perfectly. Delivery time was great as well.

This is the second time I have bought Yonica bits to use in my router. They work as well as more expensive brands.

Amazon asked me to review this Forstner bit. To be honest, I have only drilled ONE hole with it. My set of large Forstner Bits goes from 1.5 directly to 2.0 inches, and I needed a 1.75 hole to make a fixture. This bit did the job. The bit is sharp and solid. The hole was straight with clean sides. It worked perfectly. I can't say what would happen after 100 holes or 500 holes. Another good thing: I ordered this on Wednesday night, and I had it in hand on Thursday afternoon. Good Job Amazon.

Bought for matching an old 1/2" plug cutter after I ran out of steel to sharpen my 40 year old Marples bit. I have several Yonico router bits and all have been a very good quality and great value and this is no exception. The large diameter stock of the drill reduces the likelihood of eccentricity and is ideal for my specific purposes - strongly recommended.

I bought this to be able to fit the shaker pegs also bought here on Amazon. Really hard to get 1/2" forstner bits in Europe, this makes this reasonable bit rather expensive. 7 euro shipping and 6,50 euro customs tariff, while very good Bosch Professional bits can be had for around 12 euros. So yeah, it's a fine bit, just expensive because of shipping and customs fees.
