Yorkville CA1 Amplifier 70 Volt will work for a very long time, if, as usual, you don't overload the circuit. as well, do some calculations prior to pulling the trigger to save yourself some frustration, on every AV project. we have had this model in-service at many locations for many years. this amp will double as sound masking while waiting for a paging trigger :)Do the math and your project will shine.Highly recommended,

We purchased this unit to improve our church’s sound system using the 70v system. Before the Yorkville, we used a ten year old Bogen that was rated at 35watts, not nearly enough power to run six speakers. With the Yorkville and the proper wiring, we were able to add four more speakers on the walls of our church to improve the sound quality throughout the Sanctuary. By adding a separate processor in the choir area, that gave them their own ability to send their signal and be able to change volumes independently. With the improvement in sound quality in the Church, the parishioners are able to hear the minister better, which is always a good thing. Yorkville’s support was great.

Purchased this unit to replace an older Bogen amp which recently died. Unit is used in a meeting room,which seats up to 200. We don't do anything fancy with the system, using it simply for some mics and a CD player. Sound is good, and power is more than adequate. Much less expensive than purchasing a new Bogen, and so far it is performing as well as the old, more expensive amp.

It ran great for a little over 30 days, then sound sounded garbled, it was running very hot, and had a burned smell, like something burned inside. This was shipped by Amazon and provided by Front Row Electronics. It was over 30 day Amazon for DOA. Called the Front Row Electronics dealer and they said I must call the Manufacturer. Called the Manufacturer and they wanted me to send it in and let them repair it. So my customer...who is a hotel is gong to be without a background sound system for a month while they are repairing...NO! I do not treat my customers like that, Do you want to be treated like that....I dont think so,

Nice solid amp for a 70v system Very quiet with no feed back. Nice quailty construcion, and no loud fans.

Speakers never worked on the 70V output. Didn't find out until after the return window ended. Guess I'm out of luck. Now I'm stuck with a $300 piece of garbage.
