Note
Use before or after, pour water into steaming barrel, heating, and distilling half an hour to an hour, can remove residual impurities in the copper tube. (Don't add cold water into the small barrel) In order to avoid appear oxide. Dry barrel with a towel and put it in a dry place when work finished.

I has another cheap one from another company. This one is a billion times better made. The best part is the built in heater.I had an issue with the heating element. I contacted the seller. They quickly sent the replacement parts I needed with no hassle. It is nice when a seller stands by their products

I unpacked my new still today and tried a run of water. I primarily bought it as a water still, but intend to try other things with it as well, so wanted something more adjustable than the common countertop water stills that only have an on-off switch.I was pleasantly surprised at the included airlock, hydrometer kit (three bulbs!) and other bits of kit that will be helpful in distilling things that aren’t water. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a submersible pump, and was about to connect it to the chiller pot when I discovered that the connector on the pump isn’t the same size as the tube that connects to the chiller pot. I looked for instructions and watched the videos linked in this listing, but there were no instructions. A simple static picture of how to connect the pump would be fine. There’s a hose connector in the pump box, but I don’t see how to connect it to anything (though it does fit in the included hose, so it’s probably me not understanding something). There are two perforated plates included, but I have no idea what they’re for. I’ve set them aside to learn about later.In my first run, the chiller pot has leaked significantly. I’ll need to go through and tighten all the nuts on the legs, which will probably improve things significantly. This is somewhat expected for something that’s hand assembled and shipped halfway around the world.The arrangement of the prongs on the three-prong (110V, North American 15A grounded) plug made it so when plugged into a standard-installation outlet (ground on the bottom) the cord sticks up. I’d like to see the plug mounted the other way. This is a small detail.In general, for the money, this is an excellent still. Stills of marginally-better quality can be had, but at three times the price. I’ve ordered a small chiller pump that I will connect to the chiller pot when it arrives later this week. If that component added to the system works out the way I expect, I look forward to weekly water distillation runs, and learning about craft distilling in the future.One final note: if the written instructions are going to use web links, the links should be short and easy to enter (use a URL redirect service, such as youtu.be). Alternately, use a QR code.

This should not be considered a safe or serviceable piece of equipment. The bottom of the tank has a cap that has a seal that will fail (rather quickly) and will empty the entire tank contents into the electronics, and could make for a really bad day. That's what happened to us after less than 20 uses, except we were spared the worst - no fire thank God. But it's utter trash-all components, connections and seals are cheap. Get a welded stainless steel jug distiller and an induction heater.
