I get a very slight whine if cruising in the 38 - 43 mph zone. It's not loud enough to be an annoyance. Speed up/slow down a little and it's gone. Yukon attributes that to the "performance cut" they use on the "thick" gear sets. Otherwise they are silent. Based on my experience, I would buy these gears again.
