I found that these bottle caps work perfectly on smartwater bottles with the flip open caps if you take the security ring off as well. No leaks even when I squeezed the bottle. I love stimming with these types of caps!

I tried this on multiple bottles, all 28 mm. Due to the poor design, this will not fit almost any water bottles. The problem is that the neck of the cap is too long, so even if the diameter is correct (28mm) it cannot get low enough on the bottle mouth to line up with the threads. In other words, the manufacturer didn't take into account that bottles have shoulders to them. These might fit a straight threaded pipe, but they are unworkable for bottles.

I was so disappointed with myself. I was just looking for best deal and not paying attention to what size bottles they fit. I needed them for standard disposable plastic water bottles and these were too big. And, I had no time to order the correct size as the delivery date was after my party.

I tried fitting this on a Pepsi bottle.To get it to fit, I had to get the ring off the bottle neck. This ring is the piece that breaks off from the cap when you open the bottle. Once that ring is removed, this works fineOnce the ring was removed from the bottle, this fit.
