Safety Features
Pressure Regulator
Pressure regulator knob is equipped with four positions: High Pressure, Low Pressure, Release, and Clean.
Pressure Indicator
The yellow pressure indicator will rise when pressure has been reached and go back down when pressure has been released.
Automatic Lock
The automatic locking handle will click into place and will not open when pressure is built inside.
Silicone Gasket
Found on the underside of the lid, the silicone gasket creates an airtight seal needed to build pressure.

I have never been a pressure cooker person. I grew up and we all used slow cookers. My Mom had a pressure cooker and loved it. So, after all these years I decided to try one just for time saving.Last night I cooked my first meal of pinto beans in the pressure cooker. Took about an hour from start to finish using the natural release method. A lot faster than my slow cooker, and the flavor was great. No problems with its functionality. Easy to use and easy to clean. I'm looking forward to trying new things. And, I believe that the 8.4 quart size will be great for stews and roasts and chicken. I had a couple of question along the way in making my purchase decision and the customer service from Zabor was great. So far, I have nothing negative regarding this product. It was easy to use and the instructions made good sense to me. Now all that's left to do is plan more meals to test this to its maximum capacity.

Very well crafted and beautiful workmanship. It’s much better than what it replaced and that was my mother’s favorite pressure cooker. It can still be registered and has the basic warranty. Replacement parts are available from a company that bought Zavor. I am considering purchasing a smaller version for preparation of smaller meals.

I bought this pressure cooker after debating about it for a while. I'd been using the Presto cooker for absolutely years and liked it well enough. But this cooker is a game-changer. I bought the 10 qt and it's just big and fabulous! I can cook soups and pot roasts--any type of meat really. It is so versatile. This is also big enough for those who like to can. I've never done that before, but I can see how it would easily adapt. I just love it. The cooker is super shiny, heavy stainless steel, and washes great. I wash mine by hand because I don't want to ruin the beautiful finish. I spray the interior with Pam so I've never had baked on foods. It washes up easily and is ready for the next meal. A great addition to any kitchen!

I picked the Zavor because it gets the highest pressure in this price range. It works great and is very easy to use. I probably use it 2-3 times per week. Great for stocks, soups, beans, stews, even rice! Drawbacks: 1) in retrospect I should have bought the simpler Zavor with only high pressure. I never use the low-pressure setting on this one. I tried once with vegetables and cooked them a minute too long so they turned out mushy. 2) the screws attaching the handle to the lid periodically get lose, which loses the pressure seal. You just need to check them and tighten them.

I always buy the biggest possible sizes because I like to cook big batches. It's neatly designed, works really well, holds the pressure even on medium low heat and is easy to use with the safety mechanism. I also have the option to pressure can in this 👠from me

I'm well experienced with this tool now. Beans in 14 minutes. stock in 30 minutes. safe easy to use, high quality. I read the reviews from Americas test kitchen. They had it right this thing is superior
