How to play Tingsha bell?
The first traditional way of playing
1. Hold the leather cords above the round metal part of tingsha bell in each hand
2. Bring two bells same level with each other
3. Gently and smoothly strike the rims of one cymbal with another cymbal.
4. Listen to the sound fading away completely before striking them again.
The second traditional way of playing
1. Hold the leather cords above the round metal part of tingsha bell in each hand
2. Let two bells at different heights and close to each other
3. Gently and smoothly striking one cymbal by the other in an up and down motion
4. Listen to the sound fading away completely before striking them again.

I'd actually bought several pairs from different Sellers. You nevery really know about the tone, even with a video sample. Of the lot, these are the best so far. They are slightly out of phase. So when rung together I have a small distortion of about four cents per second. It's really not that bad. I don't really know how many other people would notice. But that's how very close these are.The tone is very clear. They have a good long ring. Their tone is lovely.

I bought another set of cymbals from another company and these are by far the cleanest sounding ones. The sound is highly relaxing.

These did not look all that bad, but the sound was horrible. I tried many different ways of striking them together, thinking maybe the fault was mine somehow, but the result was always the same. Drove my cats right out of the room. I did not blame them. The sound was the whole point of this item, so I immediately returned them.

So beautiful. The sound is just lovely. I use it before my healing sessions to cleanse the room, and it's just perfect, easy to use even with one hand. The strap of leather that came on it is cut really crooked for some reason, but they also include an extra leather strap I guess for in the future if the first one breaks, and that one is cut very perfectly! :). The cymbals themselves are medium sized (I have another set from this maker that is much smaller) and make a beautiful tone. The outside is smooth and the underside has some decorative carvings. The carrying case seems a little out of style with this type of tool, but it will definitely protect it well if you're taking these somewhere. It also comes with a little bag if you prefer to store them that way. A perfect little set, I'm so happy with them!
