We redid our chicken yard but inadvertently took away their favorite dust bathing spot, trying to rebuild we needed amendment and figured I'd give this one a shot. It's great, it's zeolite. I don't run a full bath of zeolite but rather mix it into a kitchen sink of anything I have in the yard for the girls, but they seem to love it. Helps with the greater dustiness of dirt sand de all the things pit.The dust itself is super fine milled, very soft. Definitely very dusty so I'd tread carefully pouring, wear gear if you've got it. I mix thoroughly and kind of let it settle before I let the ladies at it. I know they're just going to kick it back up but I feel better if it's a mix.Packaging on this is just a bag in a box, kind of minimal waste and easy to store. I think given the volume and how finely milled this is while being produced in the US, great deal, fantastic at this price.

This seemed to be up to Chicken standards because the girls bathed in this immediately. Will be purchasing repeatedly.

I don't have chickens anymore but I do have quail and they do love a good bath.My quail are very active and are constantly bathing in the sand that is provided for them. When I saw this product I thought it would be a good change of pace for the little guys.It is as pictured and advertised and the quail use it the same as they have the other substrates they have been given I wouldn't say they liked it more or even less I think they're just content to be able to bathe in something appropriate.I'm not sure if it would be a good value for the money as I got a 6 lb box and compared to a 50 lb bag of sand there is a huge difference in price. I'm sure the product is excellent but for a chicken coop or situations the same I believe it would be too expensive to use.

Chickens love to take dust baths. At first I wondered why they bathe in dirt, but that’s how they clean themselves. Random dirt in the yard can have contaminants dangerous for the chickens. Just put a ring in the coop with this clean dust is all you need to do and the chickens love it. I put a base of clean sand on the bottom and topped it off with this dust which is made to help clean their feathers. It also reduces odor. The chickens love it.

This was a very nice addition to our dust bath within my chicken run. It arrived very quickly and although it's in a tiny box and it doesn't feel like it's truly 6 lbs. it is indeed 6 lbs. of Zeolite finely milled product, picture attached on a scale.It was packaged very well- stapled tightly and arrived in a box- not an envelope. The vendor marked on the outside exactly what you are receiving which is nice. Upon opening, the Zeolite settled very nicely and you can tell it's finely milled so when sprinkling in your dust bath you may want to wear protective gear over nose/mouth to prevent inhalation while mixing with your dust bath. I already have a dust bath in the rear of the chicken run so I mixed this in with the soil, sand, and diatomaceous earth already there and the six pounds was adequate for my dust bath area which is at the rear of my chicken run. If you are just using this with Dichotomous earth you would definitely need more of this product. I've taken a photo to show what the six pounds covered nicely within our established dust bath for this review.Overall, I would recommend this product as an addition to a chicken dust bath- not as the primary source of a dust bath though- it does need to be mixed with other things because it is finely milled and you want your chickens to breathe healthy. It mixed well with what I already had in the bath and am very pleased as this provided an added benefit for my chickens taking their bathes to clean their feathers! An even better benefit.... it's actually made in the USA!!!

I raise Bobwhite quail and this zeolite is nice at keeping their feathers clean and they sure love having the dust bath. I enjoy watching the dust "bombs" go off as 4-5 hop into the bin and start doing their thing. Actually, this is beneficial for their health and it's nice to see them doing this natural cleaning with a safe compound. I do have to remove their water and food while they dust bath but very pleased with how easy this is for the birds.

I try to replace the chicken dust in my chicken coop within a few months specially when my chickens are molting, after I used this dust bath in my chicken coop the look of the feathers of my chickens looked great and healthy. It's also easy to clean and easy to pour in the coop. It doesn't smell strong and the size is perfect for my flock.
