I got half way thru the winter when my block heater decided it no long wanted to live. So I replaced with the one and was back up and running. Works great and way cheaper than the ones on the diesel websites. Also super easy to install. If you even worry about your not work just go ahead and replace it before you’re doing in the cold not a fun time

Replaced my original factory block heater and cable since I just bought this truck and didn't want to run the original equipment through The winter. I've used this down to 13° so far. It does what it's supposed to keeps the block warm enough to eliminate any hard starting. Not warm enough to completely heat your coolant, but if it's not super windy or very very cold when you start your truck, with this plugged in, you'll see your coolant temp just above the cold line.In about 4 hours this thing reaches its Max heating ability so no need to have plugged in longer. Although I have left it plugged in overnight with zero issues. Would recommend this as a good alternative to the expensive factory option which is about double the cost of this one.

Easy install and worked great for freezing temps of 2024 in the deep south.

When I purchased my 1994 Ford F250 diesel pickup, it came with a block heater already installed. But when I plugged it in, it blew the breaker in the house. I purchased this replacement and only installed the heater element itself and it solved the problem. In the bitter cold weeks we've recently had, it has kept the block warm enough to start right up on one cycle of the glow plugs, and no more blowing the breaker. Being that I only used the heating element, I now have a spare cord as well. I would say the unit I got was a quality purchase.

I used this for a Fiat 640 DT based White 2-60 with the cast iron lower rad hose in-line coolant heater. This is a common adaptor, 6" 90 degree, used in fiat based diesel tractors.Fiat 540 and 640, Oliver and Cockshutt 1255, 1265, 1355,1365 and 1465, White 1270, 1370, 1470, 2-50 and 2-60, Minneapolis Moline G-350 and G-450. This adaptor (3/4" NPT) was also used in many other tractors. This 1000 watt heater was used to replace the original 400 watt shorty, but it fits perfectly. So far I've tested it at -12C for 45 minutes I still had to used the the Fiat fuel preheater (fiat diesel has a weird fuel pre-heater, but it has no glow plugs) to start the engine. Then tried again at -12C and 2 hours and no fuel pre-heating was necessary.I'll update if it lets me down at colder temps, But so far I'd say this works perfectly for the price,

This is the second one I bought. Works well. The first one burned up because I had a coolant leak in my tractor.

Tractor block heater. Circulating heaters would be a more costly but a better deal in the long run.

Installed in a Caterpillar 3404 gen set in a ship. Old one failed and caused a ground fault. Installation is easy with minimal coolant lost. Just have your thread sealant on the new block heater before you unscrew the old one all the way! Engine is nice and toasty now!
