Product Description

Get the Most Out of Your Shuffleboard Experience with Our Table Shuffleboard Powder!

Shuffleboard powder is sometimes called wax, salt, sand or sawdust. It is a mixture of dried silicone beads and ground corn (corn meal) that lets the puck slide smoothly and quickly across the board. Our powder has three speed ratings, White - fastest and only contains silicone beads, Gold - fast and Yellow - medium.

ZieglerWorld Shuffleboard Powder - Yellow

Our Yellow powder is recommended for tables between 9' and 12'. Shuffleboard powder is used to allow pucks to slide easily and decrease friction on shuffleboard tables. It is an important element in table maintenance. Yellow is a medium speed, and the slowest we offer. It provides a comfortable game for players who prefer control over speed. It is used by both recreational and professional players. Remember, speed compromises accuracy.

How Do You Apply the Shuffleboard Wax to the Table?

There are a few steps you need to follow before you can start the powder wax application process. First, remove the existing wax using a shuffleboard board wipe and apply a silicone spray across the playing surface in a sweeping motion. After spread the shuffleboard powder evenly on your board.

Yellow is a Mixture of Silicone Beads and Corn Meal

Corn meal and silicone beads create a "medium" speed play surface.

How Do You Spread Shuffleboard Wax? There’s no specific technique to spread shuffleboard wax. You just need to sprinkle the wax powder evenly and generously across your table surface. Shuffleboard wax comes in containers that allow easy application. When you want to increase the speed of your shuffleboard game, decrease the amount of friction between the puck and the surface of the shuffleboard. To decrease friction, make sure you clean and polish the wood or laminate to remove grit, grime, sweat, and oil. After the board is clean, put a liquid wax on your table.

We tried other bands, but this is the one that works best.

Good consistency, good staying power. You do not have to keep putting more on.

This review is to upgrade a previous review of this product that was a bit negative due to my ignorance. I apologize to ZieglerWorld. The canister of yellow sand offers just the right vilocity for the games we play on our shuffleboard table. When the table was purchased, we were given a free canister of clear sand and I thought all sand was the same. I was taken back by the perceived "mess" the yellow sand displayed. What I have come to learn is that clear is a slicker, speedier concoction and I actually appreciate the yellow sand more now because I can see the tracking areas and fill as needed. An excellent product, lasts a long time.

The product came on time and was exactly as described...However, is very fast. We're new shuffleboard owners and getting to know which ones we like. We're ordering same brand but different speed.

Really like this sand for my 9’ table. It seems to last longer and keep better shot to shot consistency over other “slow” yellow waxes. I will buy more.

This works better than the last can of sand I bought.

When we used the product we wondered why there were larger white flecks. It turns out that they were eggs of a small beetle that hatched later both in the can and on our shuffle board. NO THANKS That is not a feature worth the price.

This worked great on my 9 ft. table. It really slowed the pucks down. We found it worked the best when we mixed it with the sand that came with our table.
