I bought this "used" from Amazon Warehouse at a good price. It sounds very good on top of the heavy hi-hat bottom I already had (not a Mastersound-style bottom). It had some extremely stubborn stains (apparently from handling by a previous owner with some substance on his hands) and a very small area of light scratches. I wanted the Zildjian name on top... and it does sound a little better than what I had but not enough to justify the regular price in my specific situation. This is one S Family cymbal I can recommend.
