Zinc strip measures 2.5†wide, 55’ long, .0075†thick.I expect it will do the job of preventing mold and algae from growing on my shingles.I have used zinc and copper in other places and it works well.I’ll update this review if I have anything to report after installation.

This zinc strip is narrow and quite thin, almost like tin foil, and is easily ripped. They also provide gasketed nails, but there too few of them. In a moderate breeze the wind easily rips this off your roof. Happened to me twice. Find something sturdier.

I have a 50 foot section of roof that faces north so it doesn't get sun and moss ends up growing on the shingles. This was the perfect length for it. I unrolled it and attached high up near the peak where rain would fall on it and then run down over the rest of the roof. I don't think this will kill algae and moss but will keep it from forming. So if you already have an infestation you will need to clean your shingles like I did.

I'm thinking this is an aluminum product as i put it on my roof to control alga and it doesn't do anything. Had other similar products that worked great. The price was good just doesn't do what i thought is should.

After a found a different brand at a local store for $2 less, it was about twice is heavy, winder and more zinc.This is functional but better options available
