The 'exactly as described' came after the great customer service. The first shipment was one foot of wire, not ten feet. I phoned the minute I opened the package since my son's science fair was looming in the near future. They shipped a full ten foot coil IMMEDIATELY after I called. We got it right away and made the deadline. A great customer service response to one of those order glitches that sometimes happens. I would shop with Rotometals again with confidence.

I make my own colloidal (or Ionic, same thing) silver solution to fight a Typhus infection that I got when assigned to Sinop, Turkey in 1975. The silver did a great job, saved me from certain death. It's zinc, what more can I say?I used this for a simple chemistry demonstration, Zn + 2HCl => H2 + ZnCl2. The wire was easy to work with, and the low surface area kept the reaction going for several minutes. Perfect for my use, which was to burn the H2 as it escaped the test tube. Long reaction life means long flame duration, and easy demonstration.

Exactly as pictured. The only criticism I have is the title of the product. "per foot" should just say "one foot" because that's what you get. Quality is outstanding though! Science fair project with my son is lemon powered!

is easier to use bits of this instead of cutting tiny squares of sheet zinc or electrodes for senuior chem/ap chem experiments in redox. Chop up the wire, wrap around a nail and bingo!
