The idea of replacing a whole zipper on a waterproof jacket was overwhelming and I had a few among our family that I had been asked to fix. In thinking through the process and researching I thought I would try these. Good price and ended up being a GREAT and pretty easy solution. Taking the upper stop tab off is the biggest problem so I continue to look for an easier way to do this. Am interested to see if they last.

I had three YKK 5C zipper pulls that needed replacing. This product worked well for 2 of the 3 zippers. The third zipper works, but requires some effort to move the replacement zipper closure along the zipper. All in all a good product, which served my purpose.

Perfect fix for my beloved Columbia Men's Steens Mountain Hoodie. Just remove the top stopper, slide off the old zipper pull, slide on the new one, and add a new top stopper from the kit. Original zipper was marked 5CNz on the back.

I measured. I followed the instructions. It still didn't work. It would be better just to sew a new zipper on to my coat.

I was bummed to lose the jacket slider, but glad and relieved to fix it easily thanks to this kit. It was pretty easy to install a replacement slider, no tools needed, and the zipper is as good as new :-)

There were only zipper 12 zipper pulls and no other hardware. The other hardware was what I actually needed, so that is a bummer.

This worked to fix a zipper on my jacket but after taking off the old stop it was a little difficult to pull off the old zipper. Once it was off I saw the material was a little bunched/frayed at the end. This made it impossible for me to slide the new zipper on initially.Here's the tip: if the material is a little bunched or frayed like mine was, hold the new zipper from one side with needle nose pliers and then pry a little with a small flat blade screw driver to open up the slot a little more. Then do the same on the other side of the same slot. After you slide the zipper on you can squeeze it back again if needed.This worked easily and now my jacket zipper is fixed.

Habe mich mal rangewagt und die Reissverschlüsse sind ja sehr ärgerlich bei Defekt. Früher dachte ich immer, dass man dann für teuer Geld zum Schneider muss (wenn es näherisch überhaupt ging/geht). Und Reissverschlüsse sind oft ein finanzieller Totalschaden beim Schneider. Da zahlt man gerne mal 50€+ nur für den Reissverschluss + die Arbeit. Lohnt sich meistens nicht mehr.Habe einen Metallreissverschluss an einem Kapuzi damit wieder gefixt. Man muss aber wirklich auf die Grösse achten (war bei mir 5), dann geht das. Wenn ein anderer Reissverschluss mit anderer Grösse woanders kaputtgeht, dann muss ich wieder bestellen. Ein Sortiment wäre besser gewesen.Jetzt habe ich so viele Ersatzschlitten, dass ich bis zu meinem Lebensende davon wahrscheinlich nur einen Bruchteil brauche. Die Liefermenge ist absurd ..

Ersatzschlitten etwas aufgebogen, eingefädelt und wieder mit Gefühl zusammengedrückt, passt. Jacke gerettet.
