We just purchased a balance bike for our 23 month old (he will we 2 in 1 month). We ordered the size suggested (1-2) by the retailer and it was perfect. Our son is on the taller side (80th percentile) and but thinner than most his age (30th percentile) if that info helps you on the fit. Like most parents who want to get the most wear from an item, we thought about sizing up, but gloves aren't something that can fit too loosely and still do the job! These gloves fit our son perfectly with a bit of room to grow. I suspect they will fit until he's 3, then will need the next size up. *see our photos for hand measurement if you're interested in that. We are very happy with the quality of these gloves too. They are very highly padded on the palm side in case of impact. Also, I was worried that the fingerless tubing wouldn't be long enough to cover his knuckles, but even though he's on the taller side the DO cover his knuckles. This was very important for us since our son is active and has gotten some pretty deep scrapes along his outer fingers (where it is easy to become infected and small kids don't really like to wear bandaids - in case you haven't yet encountered this!). So, now that he will be learning to ride the balance bike we wanted our son to have some hand protection in case of falls. If you're interested to know which bike we chose...we purchased a top quality Alpha One balance bike by Prevelo, which is unfortunately not available on Amazon, but you can easily find it on their website. I'll do a Youtube review on that soon. As for the gloves, I feel they are a great addition to bike safety without going overboard which for us means knee and elbow guards. Passing on those for now.

This is our 3rd purchase of these because we have absolutely loved them for our other children. Definitely check measurements. Our youngest is on the small end while our oldest needed a M right off. The designs are great and all our children have fallen and had their hands protected by these. Just a great value and do the job protecting them. Takes some practice getting them on but they stay on well and removing them is easy. Practice using the finger straps to remove and application and removal are significantly easier for all.

Great fit for my 2.5yr old, and the loops foster independence for taking the gloves off. I showed him the Velcro and loops, and he does them on his own.

My grandson hasn’t tried them on yet but the look nice and seem to be nicely padded. At this time I rate the gloves a four star only because I needed a size M and that was the only size unaviable.

My son (he's 8) rides a trailer bike with me, regularly on all day adventures and he needed good gloves to keep his hands from getting sore. These were the perfect choice. Just the right amount of padding in just the right places (better than some big brand adult gel gloves I've paid 5 times the amount for), durable, breathable and cool lycra backs and sturdy marine-type hook & loop closures. An excellent feature and one I wish more adult gloves had, is the tabs for removing the gloves without having them turn inside-out.My son loves them, loves the funky colors and his hands aren't sore on long rides anymore! And I love them because they're top quality and didn't cost the farm!

These ZippyRooz gloves appear to be made well, comparable to our adult bike gloves, and are easy enough for him to put on. We didn't notice the strings underneath the fingers when placing the order, but have found that they make it very easy to remove the gloves using those. The LO enjoys being able to wear these bike gloves while riding his scooter. These gloves would be good for any child that is learning and/or young to prevent the scrapes that will happen when they fall from learning to ride a bicycle, scooter, skateboard, roller skates or anything else where the odds of falling are high. Our 4yo was pleased with these gloves the first day that he went out, as he got up after falling, looked at his hands and just gave me a grin.If you're in the market for a pair of gloves for your child, or if you have a child bike helmet and are reading this, then this is a great purchase. If you found this review "Helpful", please click the button below.

Got these for my grand daughter who will be 3 in July. She's a spunky little gal, a bit shorter and thinner then others her age so the small 1-2 size fit her perfectly with some room to grow. It was love at first sight. She was thrilled with her riding gloves, and immediately had to demonstrate how they worked while riding her balance bike. The glove has a synthetic buckskin type material and padding in the palm area, just enough to protect without constraining tiny hands. We cut off the loops used to remove the gloves (she got hooked on the chain link fence), from what I read, many others did the same. This was not a big deal, I figured it would have to be snipped off. The gloves are really cute, and they are perfect for riding her balance bike at the jumps!

Super cute and comfortable gloves for little riders! Easy to take off for my two year old as well. Highly recommend this.

My 4yo son can easily fit on and remove himself. The quality is excellent and they have protected his knuckles numerous times. The loops are key to helping him remove them and keeping them the right way round for the next use. There was some concern about the loops getting caught on things but it hasn’t been as issue as he knows he has to take them off when he wants to do other things, like go on the play equipment, which he already does with his helmet. I only found out a year ago that bike helmets were a safety risk on play equipment.
