Small dog has skin issues, & some oral meds were not for him. This doesn’t irritate his sensitive skin. Would buy again. Not sure how it works for a medium or larger dog.

The collar arrived on time and its packaging was in excellent condition. I opened the collar's sealed package and the collar looked strange. It had the appearance of white mold on cheese -- I'm not sure whether the collar was supposed to look like that or not, but thought it was 'dried treatment' to deter fleas. The collar was a good size and easy to put on my dog. I didn't notice any bad smells/aromas from the collar. The collar did not irritate her skin either. I was very much hoping this flea collar would work. My dog is elderly and I'm not comfortable using the flea treatments you apply along the neck/back also, because she has CCD (the doggy version of dementia), it's hard on her taking baths because she panics badly. So, I was truly hoping this product would provide her some relief from fleas. Unfortunately, it did not. I would not recommend this flea collar based on my experience.

I have been using this product for about 5 years now on my five (5) Chihuahuas. The place where I was getting it from usually on had Large dog Flea and Tick collars. I always felt uncomfortable cutting them down to put on my small dogs, not sure if dosage in collar the same. Anyways, they are suppose to last for 7 months but we change them every 6 months and have not had a Flea or Tick problem for 5 years. Before we used these collars, we tried sprays, drops, and monthly collars. Along with the outrageous costs, we also had several flea infestations. We get them sent by subscription from Amazon every 6 months so we never run out and we have the right size every time.

She got her first ticks March 26, 2016, 2 of them then anther one or two the next day. I haven't seen any stuck on her since then. She runs through the weeds on every walk - 3 hrs. a day. The bigger the mess of weed sticks or whatever, the better. I usually forget to look at her when we get home on the porch, and I night I can't see anyway. I think maybe 2 or 3 times we saw one crawling on her soon after we got back and we took it off. She has never had a problem with fleas. One summer she had a little. I put diatomaceous earth on her, in all my carpet, in her bed and the yard & it was ok after that. If Ineed another one of these this summer I will get it.

I have a Yorkie who's got all the time in the grass and it did not help with the fleas luckily we don't have ticks it just didn't work after all the good reviews that I heard it just did not work the way I read reviews
